The Wedding Reception of Jamie & Shonni – July 2026

This beautifully organised wedding saw 2 cultures join in unison to celebrate Jamie & Shonni getting married. This couple wanted a really good mix of all sorts of music genres including 80’s floor fillers, 70’s classics, 90’s dance hits, Bollywood anthems, Bhangra old Skool as well as Pop, Indie, RnB, Country, Hip Hop, Latino hits and more!

And I was over the moon to be able to bring my experience and knowledge to mix such a wide variety of genres and get everyone on the dance floor. They had a definite idea of how their set up should be which saw an LED screen, an LED DJ booth and a personalised white gloss dance floor with their monogram.

AND then their entrance!!!!!….. This was something to be seen and experienced – hand-held CO2 jets by the couple as they came in to view of everyone up on the mezzanine with Dhol drummers adding their power and energy before the Bride & Groom walked down the stairs to be greeted by their guests. It was something else and never to be forgotten. Then their cake cutting ceremony added to that with a song choice suggested by DJ Nav Entertainments to compliment their entrance style.

The couple’s vision was bold and specific, but it was with care and attention to THEIR detail that it was possible to make it happen so that it looked genuine, natural and hyped with all the energy of the crowd whipped up.

I listened to what Shonni & Jamie wanted and with care and careful planning, along with a great tech team, we were all able to come together with other suppliers on the day to make their dream day a reality that they’ll always cherish.

Bride & Groom’s entrance turns in to a rave!!!! Just the way they wanted it to be

So the couple had a hype party track for their entrance and the crowd joined straight in with this incredible energy – so what does DJ Nav Entertainments do????…….. She follows it with more banging tunes to keep that energy going even more!!!

And THAT’S what being a DJ is about – reading a room and knowing what to play and when to play it. This crowd didn’t want to hear me saying ‘ladies & gentleman, that was the entrance, now please take your seats’ – that may have been what the itinerary said, but it would have been sacrilege to disperse the crowd when they’re hyped and ready to party hard!

So I did what the crowd were gasping for and the result is plain to see…….. love it!

This incredible couple carefully hand-picked who they wanted at their wedding reception and it showed! Their wedding guests were people who loved to party and I was in heaven spinning club anthems non-stop!! Even the wedding photographers finished, put down their cameras and joined in because they loved the vibe. What a compliment!

Thank you to Savi & Kash for being such an awesome couple who gave me their music genre choices and were happy for me to use my creative freedom to mix it up in my unique way. That brings out the best in me and gives an electric energy that everyone craves.

Savi & Kash’s wedding day drinks reception was AMAZING!!!! With the talent house that is Gubzy Music on Tabla and Victoria Ward on Saxophone, this duo whipped the crowd in to a frenzy beyond everyone’s expectations.

WE’VE never experienced anything like it and it blew our minds completely. We knew that if the drinks reception was going this way, the reception party was going to be fun for us – but that was an underestimation of this crowd!!!! We didn’t want to see this vibe end – I mean how can you entertain a crowd during the reception party when THIS was their warm up?

The summer sun, the vibe, the music, the live music accompaniment, it all came together beautifully and it goes to show, you can have any element of your wedding YOUR WAY. You don’t have to conform to the standard expectations. You CAN have elegance and class but with a vibe and a kick. It is possible and we’re proud to have been able to add that to this beautiful couple’s special day.

Aman’s Jago Party – August 2026

When a Bride to be wants RnB towards the end of the night, then this is how it goes down with DJ Nav Entertainments.

At this Jago party, the whole family came together to celebrate in true style and they definitely brought the energy to this party. It was clear to see that the vibe was heading towards a modern Afrobeats and RnB era and the music reflected that. The flow and energy that evening was non-stop and it saw all ages come together on the dance floor to party to hits from Bhangra new and Bhangra old skool, through to Hip Hop and dancehall hits.

And then came the 2000’s Bhangra bangers that came ot of nowehere but saw everyone throwing their hands in the air and singing along to the lyrics. And it just kept on going!

Again, it was with pride and joy that I can honestly say it was all about reading the room and responding to who was on the dancefloor and what their vibe was.

Had no idea they’d do that but I loved going along with it – AND encouraging/stirring things up!!!

Loved how this crowd didn’t want the party to stop – my kind of people!
